Animal Communication

Animal Communication
& Animal Healing

WHAT IS ANIMAL COMMUNICATION?

Perhaps I should start by telling you what animal communication isn’t…

Animal communication isn’t talking to animals – animals can’t talk!

It isn’t hocus pocus, it isn’t magic and it isn’t insanity!

Animal communication is simply a non-verbal form of communication.

There have been various studies done into human communication and the general consensus seems to be that around 90% of human communication is non-verbal.

For example, we use intonation (this is why emails and text messages can be interpreted in the wrong way), body language, eye contact – all sorts of clever tricks. To a lesser degree we use intuition. Our ancestors were much better at using their intuition than we are; as we have developed language we have largely forgotten the art of listening to our intuition.

We still do it a little bit (how many times have you felt that you could sense an atmosphere when you walked into a room, or have been thinking about someone you haven’t seen for a while and you get a phone call or an email from them?) Not magic. Just intuition.

Animals never developed language to the same degree that we did – although dogs and cats, for example, have different barks and meows for different things. So while we were busy learning to construct sentences, they were busy fine tuning their intuition.

Did you know that the most common reason for cancelled vet’s appointments is disappearing cats? They seem to know, long before the cat carrier comes out that they are destined for the vets so, as if by magic, they are nowhere to be found. Do your animals sense when a member of the family is going away, or coming home? Can they read your moods? The clever things are using their intuition.

Us animal communicators have trained to use our intuition and to listen to the animals feelings. When I started out, the most difficult bit for me was believing the information I received was real. It really is! Communication is useful for so many things. One of my horse clients was having regular and painful injections from the vet. Because the horse was so in tune with his own feelings he was able to let me know how he wished to be treated. He wanted a poultice made from specific herbs applied to his damaged knee. I relayed this to the owner and within three weeks the horses knee was better. I did nothing clever but the horse did!

It is often really comforting for the owners of terminally ill animals to know that the animal is at peace and is not frightened.

Another area where communication is really useful is with rescue animals. By communicating, we can often find something in the animals past which is triggering a particular behaviour. By explaining this to the owner it is much easier for the owner to understand the animal and to either make allowances for the pet or to adapt certain parts of the animals environment to help him or her.

So that is communication. The beauty of this is that it is, in my experience, most accurate when conducted from a distance, the animal doesn’t need to be physically present to communicate - remember we discussed how they know when you are coming home?

If you would like me to communicate with your animal get in contact.

ANIMAL HEALING

What is animal healing?

All animals (and humans) benefit from healing. It is a gentle therapy which promotes calm, peace and deep relaxation.

Healing is a totally natural approach which can help with a range of physical, emotional and psychological conditions by working on the whole animal (often called holistic healing) rather than on isolated symptoms, getting to the root of the problem and working on the cause.

Having briefly studied the anatomy and physiology of animals, I have some understanding of just how clever vets are and I cannot stress enough that the work I do is a complementary therapy, it cannot take the place of, or be better than the treatment your animal receives from your vet.

Healing can be in person or from a distance – this might sound a little strange but actually it is very effective. In both cases, before the healing takes place we will have an in depth consultation.

Think of healing as a relaxing massage for animals.

Although very often it is done through sense so contact isn’t always necessary, the animal will totally relax and go into a trance like state. Interestingly, if the owner is present he or she often nods off too!

I am a graduate of Healing Animals Organisation and also a Reiki Practitioner. If you would like to know more, please get in contact using the button below.

I don’t put prices on my website because they vary so much depending on what is required and where you live. I understand that many people have rescued their pets and are on a tight budget and I do my best to help as much as possible
